Collision, North America’s fastest-growing technology conference, is returning in-person in Toronto starting today through Thursday, June 23 at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place. The four-day event is the largest international in-person gathering in Toronto in more than two years.

In recognition of Collision, Mayor Tory has also proclaimed June 20 to 24 Digital Infrastructure Week, a week dedicated to learning more about the digital infrastructure that is increasingly used to deliver services, perform data-driven asset management, help manage public resources efficiently, and inform decision-making at the City.

The City of Toronto pavilion at Collision will open tomorrow, Tuesday, June 21, with Mayor John Tory, partners and tech stakeholders in attendance to foster new opportunities for businesses in Toronto.

This major international conference will help Toronto:

  • Engage with potential foreign direct investors who are considering relocating or expanding operations within Toronto and Canada, to generate local tech jobs , promote international trade and partnerships with Toronto and Canadian companies to encourage local business growth and opportunities
  • Encourage venture capitalist investment in Toronto and Canadian companies to support startups and drive innovation
  • Promote the Toronto and Canadian innovation ecosystem to foster growth, innovation and global networks.

More than 35,000 attendees are expected to convene at the Enercare Centre, in addition to more than 900 speakers, 1,500 startups, 1,200 journalists, and 850 investors from more than 140 countries. More than 120 trade delegations will participate in Collision to explore business opportunities with an international audience.

Collision brings together the people and companies from the global technology industry. The conference is part of a series of technology conferences that include Web Summit in Europe and RISE in Hong Kong.

Since the pandemic, Collision has been hosted online twice, bringing 25,000 and 40,000 attendees respectively to network on its proprietary platform. Hosting Collision will continue to build on the momentum of the Toronto region’s technology industry.

The Toronto region ranks as the largest tech sector in Canada and the third-largest in North America. The sector is fueled by 270,000 skilled workers in Toronto, with an additional 380,000 workers in non-tech occupations within the tech sector such as sales, administration, business operations, finance and marketing.
