May 20 – ASIAN GOLD RIBBON DAY

May is Asian Heritage Month. The 2021 theme "Recognition, Resilience, and Resolve", honours the contributions and diverse stories which are rooted in resilience and perseverance. It is also a call to action for Canadians to come together to combat all forms of anti-Asian racism and discrimination.

The Asian Gold Ribbon campaign is galvanizing individuals, organizations, and communities to demonstrate solidarity against anti-Asian racism and to recognize its psychological impact. May 20th, designated as Asian Gold Ribbon Day, is a time when people from all walks of life will adorn a gold ribbon to show visible solidarity against anti-Asian racism.
