UNBLOCKING UNDERREPRESENTED VOICES IN FOOD, DRINK AND HOSPITALITY

This past March, Quell Now Inc. hosted the first of its kind Unblock Unconference focused on highlighting underrepresented voices in the food, drink and hospitality industries. 

Event organizers Stephanie Lui-Valentim and Dr. Leland Harper share why the unconference was necessary, the outcome, and the changes they’d like to see happen in the latest Terminal article.

AGM REGISTRATION

The Toronto Annual General Meeting is taking place on June 8 at Koerner Hall. Attendees can choose to join either in-person or virtually. 

The event will highlight Toronto's unique food scene and provide an opportunity to network with others in the tourism industry. In-person registration ends June 5.

DESTINATION TORONTO TEAM MEMBER IN PCMA’S 20 IN THEIR TWENTIES 

PCMA’s 20 in their Twenties program is honouring Mara Rodas, Sales Coordinator, Global Sales & Services, in its 10th class of exceptional young leaders in the business events industry. 

Mara shares the personal passion that led her to the industry and what continues to motivate her.

The EDGE Event on Hiring and Retaining Staff explored different pathways to access new pools of candidates for seasonal work.

TIAO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) is hosting two webinars designed to share practical and actionable ways that employers can build and retain their workforce. 

Join TIAO on May 16 to learn more about Attracting, Building and Retaining an Indigenous Workforce and on June 13 to learn about what a Blended Workforce truly means.

The below citywide meetings (more than 1,500 attendees) will be in Toronto over the next two months. The customized microsites are provided to select meetings as part of our Six Stack Attendance Marketing Program.
