Employee Benefit Changes

New changes to DT’s Group Benefits are effective August 1, 2023. The new plan will be available in mid-August. All group benefit information and changes can be found on the My Employment Page.

DT at the Toronto Pride Parade

Destination Toronto invited staff, members and industry partners to join in marching in the Toronto Pride Parade.

MTCC Golf Tournament Activation

Thank you to our DT staff who volunteered to run the MTCC Golf Activation. The activation included a game of Jenga Trivia. It was a great opportunity to share with other organizations what we do at Destination Toronto!

• Europe’s most-attended conference by association leaders & executives. Event is limited to 70 suppliers/destinations and 150 Association Executives/Association Event Planners.
• KENES Group FAM - July 9-13, 2023
• Team Toronto is hosting 7 Kenes team members over a period of 5 days. They will familiarize the team on hotel product & social venues and educate the Account Directors from Kenes on DT services once Toronto is selected. This includes CBSA & IRCC speakers to address how to register an event plus visa application procedures for delegates. 
• ACESSE 2023 - July 11-13, 2023, Detroit, MI
• The ACCESSE meeting is a 2 and a half day meeting allowing suppliers to network with the STEM organizations at different levels (CEO, marketing, finance, membership, events, etc) during educational sessions and a small trade show floor. 
• Micro-FAM Pre-Esport Travel Summit - July 10-11, 2023, Toronto, ON
• This event targets International clients from the esports sector and will focus on our innovative esports attributes and esports partners across the city.
• Destinations International Annual Conference - July 18-20, 2023 Dallas, TX
• Destination Toronto will attend for the purpose of education and peer to peer networking.
• In-Market Client Event - July 20, 2023, Chicago, IL

DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT

• Rolling out the Toronto Destination Insights Platform as our new Business Intelligence hub. In addition to providing access to the platform for Board and committee members, key partners and staff, the new platform is also powering the Market Performance Dashboard on the Terminal.
• Putting our new partnership with Air Canada into action with a focus on business development for business events. The new partnership provides DT with flight credits for sales activities and represents a major new formalized partnership for DT.
• Implementing a pilot program with Access Now and 50 local businesses to provide more valuable information to customers about accessibility at locations in the city.
