NEW FEDERAL TOURISM GROWTH STRATEGY

This week, the Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance launched the new Federal Tourism Growth Strategy with five strategic priorities: invest in tourism assets, embrace recreation and the great outdoors, partner to grow Indigenous tourism, attract international events, and improve federal coordination.

Great Taste of Canada, a nation-wide collaborative marketing website by the Culinary Tourism Alliance, has now launched! The site offers visitors a digital field guide to mouthwatering eats and tastes of place unique to each region.

REMINDER: REGISTER FOR 67TH ANNUAL GTHA AND DESTINATION TORONTO GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Greater Toronto Hotel Association and Destination Toronto are hosting the 67th annual golf tournament on August 15.

TASTE OF DANFORTH VOLUNTEERS

Canada’s largest street Festival, Taste of the Danforth, is back this year, from August 11-13, and is looking for volunteers! The not-for-profit street Festival attracts approximately 1.6 million people each year and celebrates culture, music and food.

The below citywide meetings (more than 1,500 attendees) will be in Toronto over the next two months.
