DESTINATION TORONTO APPOINTS NEW BOARD CHAIR REKHA KHOTE

Destination Toronto recently announced Rekha Khote, CEO, MK2 Hospitality, as Chair of its Board of Directors. Rekha was elected by the Board of Directors, the slate of which was approved on June 8, 2023 at the 98th Annual General Meeting.

TIAO, TIAC AND OVER 250 ORGANIZATIONS CALL FOR MORE TIME TO REPAY CEBA LOANS 

The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) sent a letter to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland on behalf of TIAO and more than 250 other national, provincial, and regional organizations urging the federal government to extend the current Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) repayment deadline by two years to the end of 2025.
