Our internal newsletter has a new look and a new name to ensure staff know exactly what they Need to Know (big stuff!); what is Good to Know (interesting stuff!); and will continue to feature the popular Getting to Know You (fun stuff!). Toronto Museum Pass

On Oct 9, DT will launch the Toronto Museum Pass offering savings for consumers at seven museums with 1- and 3-day passes available for purchase on the DT website.

New Listing Badges

Later this month, listings will be updated on DestinationToronto.com with badges to recognize businesses with an eco-sustainability certification and/or that meet the high standards of 2SLGBTQIA+-inclusivity. Accessibility badges will follow later in the year.

IMEX and AVoice4All

IMEX America (October 17-19, Las Vegas) is the largest US trade show for the global meetings and events industry. Team members from Global Sales and Marketing will attend for client meetings, content and social programs and a new media activation. DT is also the presenting thought leader behind IMEX’s AVoice4All planner education series.

Q4 Board and Committee Meetings

This month, DT’s Standing Committees and Board will review our 2024 Business Plan. Following its endorsement, it will be shared with DT team members at our All Hands on Monday October 30th. To see the upcoming Board and Committee Meeting Dates, please see the events calendar on the intranet.

Scott's Farewell

On Thursday, October 12 from 4 to 6 pm, we will host a reception at the DT office to bid farewell to Scott Beck and wish him well in SFO. This is an in-person only event, we hope you can join us! If you are planning to come and have any dietary restrictions, please reach out to Mary-Ruth.

October 30th All Hands

Steering Committee will share the 2024 Business Plan (following its review by our Board). This is being shared in advance of the Business Outlook Forum at which it will be presented to our community stakeholders. For those attending in person, there will also be some Halloween fun, including a costume contest, trivia and more.

Sustainability Committee

How does Destination Toronto perform against our responsibilities towards the climate? DT’s new Green Team is on a mission to find out. Delving into a list of research questions, the Team will uncover which eco-friendly policies and systems we have in place, and what we should implement going forward. Watch this space for updates!
