At yesterday’s AGM, DT unveiled the results of a new study that uncovered the scope and scale of Toronto’s visitor economy, showing both the immediate and continued impact of visitor spending.

Making an impact at IMEX Frankfurt
DT and partners attended IMEX Frankfurt, the largest European show for the meetings and events industry. The team conducted 55 appointments, hosted 46, and met with 45 planners. In addition, DT produced a Cultures Remix-branded MirrorBox activation to elevate Toronto’s brand presence and generate leads for future marketing.

Engaging buyers at Rendez-vous Canada (RVC)
This May, Destination Toronto’s travel trade team joined 45 city partners and conducted 137 timed appointments at RVC in Edmonton, selling the destination at the largest annual marketplace for international travel buyers in Canada.

Toronto’s economic innovation on stage in NYC
Last month at the Wall Street Journal’s Future of Everything Festival, Destination Toronto teamed up with Destination Canada to position the city’s innovation ecosystem, including a panel featuring Toronto’s own Dr. Kris Alexander on “The Future of Digital Gaming”.
