Virtual briefing: How your business can prepare for the FIFA World Cup 26™

DT is hosting a virtual briefing on July 28 at 10 a.m. along with representatives from Toronto’s FIFA Secretariat and the City of Toronto. The briefing will provide an update on key milestones, funding programs, branding and activation guidelines, practical tools to support participation, and how we’re leveraging the opportunity to attract visitors.

The DT team shines at DI’s Annual Convention

At Destinations International’s Annual Convention, two DT team members earned recognition for their commitment and leadership. Paula Port received her Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) designation, and Aimy Thai was named one of DI’s 30 Under 30. The convention offered an opportunity to gain insights on traveller behaviour and trends for growing Toronto’s visitor economy.

Spotlighting Toronto’s diverse experiences and global appeal

Here is a curated selection of recent media coverage resulting from DT-hosted press trips and proactive outreach: Le Journal de Montréal, Phoenix, Diario Las Americas, Prevue Magazine, Fast Company and New York Post.

Transform lives: Donate to Relax, Recharge, Renew

We’re looking for hotel, restaurant, and attraction gift certificate/ticket donations for Destination Toronto’s Relax, Recharge, Renew program, a 15-year tradition that provides a much-needed weekend break to local parents of children with complex medical needs. Donate via the member portal or email Annie Ewing.

New breweries added to the DT Brew Pass

Amsterdam BrewHouse, Mill Street Brewpub Distillery District, and Avling Brewery have signed on to Destination Toronto’s Toronto Brew Pass, which encourages visitors and locals to explore more of the city through 1-day, 3-day, and 7-day tasting options.
