DT takes its biggest swing yet at IMEX America

This week at IMEX America, the Toronto team completed over 200 client meetings with global meeting planners, generating new business leads and opportunities for future events in the city. Supported by DT partners, our largest-ever showing combined an expanded standalone booth along with the immersive MirrorDome activation. Together, they aimed to capture the attention of more than 5,700 global buyers in a high-traffic entrance space.

Driving Local Awareness of Visitor Impact During the Blue Jays’ Play-Off Run

To reinforce the value of sports tourism, DT engaged with local media to highlight how visiting Jays fans fuel the city’s visitor economy. Coverage included CBC, CTV News Toronto, CP24, and a Canadian Press story syndicated across major outlets such as the Globe and Mail, National Post, Toronto Star, Global News and more.

Symposium Convenes Toronto’s Leaders to Shape the Waterfront’s Future

Last week, the Toronto Region Board of Trade’s Waterfront Symposium explored how Toronto’s waterfront can evolve through better placemaking, connectivity, and strategic investment. Kelly Jackson, VP of Destination Development, moderated a panel discussion on making the waterfront a vibrant local hub for visitors and residents alike.

The first Member Morning was a great success, bringing member businesses and Destination Toronto staff together to network and exchange updates and ideas. A submission form went out to DT members early this week to submit interest in future sessions.
