TORONTO INC MISSION TO WEB SUMMIT ELEVATES TORONTO'S PROFILE

Last week in Lisbon, Toronto occupied one of the largest square-footage areas of the giant Web Summit tech conference, elevating Toronto’s profile as a place to invest, meet, visit, trade, and maximize business opportunities.

DESTINATION TORONTO WINS GOLD STELLA AWARD

Destination Toronto was recently awarded the GOLD Stella Award for the Best CVB/DMO in the International and US Territories Category by Northstar Meetings Group. 

The award recognized Destination Toronto’s efforts to support meeting attendance, specifically the 6ix Stack attendance building solution, and the city’s hospitality community of passionate ambassadors who prioritize collaboration and inclusion.

NEW, FOUR-WEEK INTAKE OF TOURISM RELIEF FUND SUPPORTING WINTER BUSINESS

FedDev Ontario has announced the launch of a new four-week intake of the Tourism Relief Fund in support of winter and off-season business. The Tourism Relief Fund provides support to tourism businesses and organizations to assist them with recovery, while investing in their future growth.


Applications will be accepted from November 2- 28.

ONTARIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S ANNUAL BUSINESS CONFIDENCE SURVEY

The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has released a survey on business confidence, pandemic recovery, and other timely issues to help inform the upcoming Ontario Economic Report and the advocacy of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC). 

The survey takes between 5-7 minutes to complete.

CITY OF TORONTO SEEKS FEEDBACK ON CAFÉTO PROGRAM FOR 2023 AND BEYOND

The City of Toronto launched a survey for restaurant operators, customers and the general public to provide feedback on the CaféTO program. 

CaféTO supported more than 1,200 bars and restaurants across the city during the 2022 patio season.

Survey responses will help inform program guidelines and criteria for 2023.

 CAPACITY-BUILDING GRANT FOR INDIGENOUS-LED COLLECTIVES AND GRASSROOTS

The City of Toronto’s Indigenous Affairs Office invites Indigenous-led grassroots groups and collectives to apply for capacity-building grants. Grants may be used for new projects, enhancing existing programs or improving group operations.

There is a total of $450,000 available in this year’s grant program. Groups can apply for one grant of up to $20,000.
