Last week, the Canadian Marketing Association recognized the City Friends With Benefits campaign with Bronze at the CMA Awards!

A collaboration with Tourisme Montréal and Ottawa Tourism, the campaign was created to excite and inspire confidence in urban travel during the summer of 2021.

GOVERNMENT OF CANADA INVESTMENT IN WOMEN-LED TOURISM PROJECTS IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO

The Government of Canada is committed to helping women entrepreneurs in the hard-hit tourism sector grow and flourish.

A total investment of over $2.7 million for 14 women-led tourism businesses is available through the Tourism Relief Fund, to develop unique experiences and enhance offerings to attract visitors.

GOVERNMENT OF CANADA INVESTMENT IN INDIGENOUS-LED COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND TOURISM PROJECTS

The federal government remains committed to working in partnership with Indigenous businesses and communities to support the Indigenous tourism sector and community infrastructure.

A total investment of over $9.6 million for 23 Indigenous-led projects is available to support Indigenous community infrastructure enhancements, tourism recovery and economic development.

CITY OF TORONTO’S MAIN STREET INNOVATION FUND

The City of Toronto’s Main Street Innovation Fund provides funding to Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) and not-for-profit organizations to animate their main streets with winter activity.


The deadline is December 15, 2022, with funding made possible through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.
